Parallax

Introduction

Parallax for React Native gives an AI agent and you the same live view of a running app.

Parallax for React Native is one shared, live view of a running app. The agent gets it through MCP tools. You get it in a desktop window. Both look at the same app on the same simulator, so what the agent reports is what you can see.

What the agent can do

Once the MCP server is registered in Claude Code or Codex, the agent can:

  • see the simulator or emulator screen and the accessibility tree, and tap, type, swipe, open a URL and launch the app;
  • read the app's console logs, uncaught JavaScript errors and Metro build errors, with file and line;
  • read the React component tree and map a piece of the screen to the code that draws it;
  • read the app's network requests, state (Redux, Zustand, TanStack Query) and navigation, with secrets removed;
  • reload the app and run commands your app registers for it;
  • check its own setup with doctor.

The full list is in the MCP tools reference.

What the window adds

The desktop app shows what the agent works on, and lets you work on it too:

  • the live simulator or emulator screen, with your own clicks and typing, next to the agent's;
  • an Inspector: select an element on the screen to see its component, file, owner chain and props, and send it to the agent;
  • logs and errors, plus network, state and navigation panels;
  • terminal tabs where your agents run, and a session list;
  • an approval queue: answer the agent's permission prompts from the window, and see what it did.

Status

Parallax is in a closed beta.

  • The screen and input work on the iOS simulator and the Android emulator, on macOS with Apple silicon.
  • Physical devices are not supported.
  • The desktop app is invite-only.

See Requirements for the exact versions.
